So people I spoke to say this one is not as interesting as esdinborogh castle but I enjoyed it for the most part . The tour guide was excellent and looked after us . I liked the army museum insideFull review by Fearless22211507292

Not dog freindly unfortunately so couldn't go, not leaving my dog In the car. So didn't visit. Shame. Other castles let dogs in their grounds. But not a stirling?Full review by Dave H

The castle is amazing! We had seen Edinburgh Castle a couple days earlier and Sterling was far better. There is a free guided tour every 1/2 hour starting at 10 and I highly recommend it. The guides …Full review by Garnet H
My husband has a walking disability - are there any provisions for disabled individuals??

I didn't notice any while I was there, and it's very steep and slippery when wet Contact Visit Scotland and they will know. They have great live chat online.

At that age they will probably get bored and tire quickly but there is plenty of space for them to run around. There are a few particular things they might like such as visiting the kitchens which have been recreated with mannequins as well as visit some of the rooms where the tour guides are dressed in character.
