Arizona scored three runs in the top of the eighth inning to rally past North Carolina, 4-3, and advance to the Men's College World Series.

After a dynamic Game 1 and a rocky Game 2, the UNC baseball team, led by Scott Forbes, took the field at home in Boshamer Stadium for a decisive Game 3. Holding the lead for the majority of the game, an error by the Tar Heels captain allowed an inning to continue and eventually lose the game for UNC, 4-3, ending their 2025 season.

The offense had another solid night; UNC hitters combined for 12 hits and eight runs and drew nine walks. If there’s a silver lining from Saturday’s game, it’s that UNC also made Arizona run through several bullpen arms as well. It’ll be interesting to see how both coaches manage their pitchers in this game.
