Pitcher Shane Bieber is headed to the AL East-leading Toronto Blue Jays in a deal with the rebuilding Cleveland Guardians, who also dealt right-hander Paul Sewald in the division to the AL Central-leading Tigers.

As revealed in a vulnerable Instagram post just one day after his final show, the pop superstar had long been suffering from nerve pain and severe fatigue caused by Lyme that made him question whether he should stop touring.

Timberlake’s not the only entertainer known to have contracted the tick-borne illness. In 2020, Justin Bieber announced that he had Lyme disease. Avril Lavigne is another Lyme sufferer, diagnosed in 2015.
