President Donald Trump’s ambitions for the “Board of Peace” to play a role in global conflicts beyond Gaza appear to be the latest U.S. attempt to sidestep the U.N.

Nine countries so far – including Hungary – have agreed to join US President Donald Trump’s proposed Board of Peace, a new international body initially focused on Gaza but now promoted by Trump as a broader forum for resolving global conflicts.

Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan and Qatar have accepted invitations to join U.S. President Donald Trump's "Board of Peace", the Saudi foreign ministry said in a joint statement that also included the United Arab Emirates.
