Chelsea have reached an agreement to sign defender Jorrel Hato from Ajax, sources have told ESPN. The 19-year-old will join the Premier League club in a deal worth €46.5 million ($53m) excluding bonuses, sources told ESPN NL.

Chelsea and Ajax have reached an agreement over the signing of Jorrel Hato for a fee in excess of €40million plus a sell-on clause, subject to approval from the Dutch club’s supervisory board. The 19-year-old Netherlands international has agreed a seven-year deal and will travel for a medical after approval has been given.
