A man arrested for impersonating a police officer during an anti-ICE protest in Chicago had a loaded semi-automatic weapon, badges and fake documents, police sources said.
The woman was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where she was treated and released, Chicago police said.
A protest against Immigrations and Customs Enforcement in Los Angeles has fueled similar demonstrations across the U.S. in recent days, with protesters arrested in New York, Philadelphia and other cities as Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said he would deploy the National Guard to several locations in the state.
The "No Kings" Chicago protest Saturday in Daley Plaza is one of the anchor events for a national anti-Trump movement. It is one of more than 1,800 protests being held nationwide in response to the Trump military parade.
The effect of the ban was not apparent Monday at O'Hare International Airport where, eight years ago during Trump's first attempt at a travel ban, hundreds protested and over a dozen people were arrested.
