The "No Kings" Chicago protest Saturday in Daley Plaza is one of the anchor events for a national anti-Trump movement. It is one of more than 1,800 protests being held nationwide in response to the Trump military parade.
The Chicago No Kings rally comes as protests have ramped up against ICE and the Trump administration this week locally and in Los Angeles, where the National Guard and Marines have been deployed against the wishes of local leaders.
With protests expected to stretch across several Chicago suburbs this weekend, and reports of heightened ICE raids possible, suburban officials have released new guidance.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson encouraged his city to protest the Trump administration’s immigration raids across the country. “I am counting on all of Chicago to resist in this moment,” said Johnson, who is a Democrat. “Whatever particular vulnerable group is being targeted today, another group will be next.”
