Voting was underway on Wednesday in Delhi, the union territory that includes the capital of India, New Delhi, to decide the 70 members of its legislative assembly in a tight election whose results are scheduled to be declared on Saturday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Hindu nationalist party is eyeing the state legislature election in Delhi where it is in race against a popular regional party that has governed the Indian capital for over a decade.
