Yankees’ Max Fried Issues Wake-Up Call After Devin Williams’ Blown Save vs. Rangers
According to FanGraphs, the Yankees now have the most blown saves in the big leagues over the last 14 days. Even worse for the Yankees, they have dropped to 60-53, putting them 5.5 games behind the Toronto Blue Jays for the top spot in the American League standings.
Yankees' Max Fried takes aim at Rangers for first time in career
Fried was 2-2 with a 5.54 ERA in five starts in July. He heads to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex off his best start since July 6. In that one, on Tuesday, Fried surrendered four runs (two earned) on four hits over 6 2/3 innings while striking out nine in a 7-5 win over the Tampa Bay Rays.
