The suspect in a weekend arson attack on Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro's official residence said he "harbored hatred" against the Democrat and would have beaten him with a hammer if he had encountered the governor inside the mansion.

A uthorities have arrested and charged a Harrisburg man suspected of setting fire to Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro’s home early Sunday, according to the Dauphin County District Attorney’s Office. The governor and his family were in their home at the time of the attack and were safely evacuated.
