(WJAR) — The Worcester County District Attorney's Office on Thursday identified the woman who fell to her death Wednesday at Purgatory Chasm in Sutton while hiking with family. According to officials, the hiker was identified as Carolyn Sanger, 49, of Topsfield.

A mother of four from Topsfield died on Wednesday after a fall at Purgatory Chasm State Reservation in Sutton on Wednesday, Sutton Police Chief Ton Calouro told NBC 10 Boston. Not long after 2 p.m., Massachusetts State Police learned of reports of a person who fell in the area and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a statement.
