Attorney General Pam Bondi’s Justice Department has fired Maurene Comey, who is the daughter of former FBI Director James Comey and the federal prosecutor in the Sean “Diddy” Combs, Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell cases, according to reports.

The FBI and DOJ said they do not plan to make future public disclosures related to their review of Epstein's case, stoking outrage among Trump's most vocal supporters.

Comey is the daughter of former FBI Director James Comey, who led SDNY from 2002 to 2003. Trump fired James Comey in May 2017 over his handling of the inquiry into Hillary Clinton’s emails, but Democrats have said the move was a result of the FBI investigating alleged links between the Trump campaign and Russia.

More ties between Trump and Epstein have emerged over the years. Records released in 2019 revealed that Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein’s accusers, testified that Maxwell recruited her for the sex trafficking ring while she was working at Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s Florida estate.
