The UConn men’s basketball team has been challenged in its last three games but, once again, proved to have the poise and defensive ability to prevail over late adversity.

The top-ranked UConn women's basketball team hosts Villanova tonight in a Big East contest at Gampel Pavilion in Storrs. The game begins at 7 p.m. and is being broadcast on FS1.

Shaheen Holloway's No. 25 Pirates (14-2, 4-1 Big East) host Danny Hurley's No. 3 UConn Huskies (16-1, 6-0), Tuesday, Jan. 13 at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.

According to ESPN analyst and former UConn women's basketball star Rebecca Lobo, the Huskies will face Kim Mulkey and LSU in 2026-27 in Nashville, with ESPN broadcasting the game. Neither UConn nor LSU confirmed the future meeting.

Mulkey and Auriemma have two of the three highest winning percentages in the history of women’s college basketball. Auriemma has led UConn to more than 1,400 wins and 11 national championships across his 41-year tenure as head coach.

LSU women's basketball is close to adding a headliner opponent to its 2026-27 schedule, according to ESPN's Rebecca Lobo.

The UConn Huskies landed a cornerstone when Olivia Vukosa made her commitment official. The 6-foot-4 player from New York committed to the Huskies over names li
