Anna Kepner was declared dead in international waters on Friday morning while on a six-day Caribbean cruise with her family on the Carnival Horizon.

About 28% of Carnival cruise passengers still sail without purchasing a cruise Wi-Fi plan, according to a Nov. 12 Facebook poll of more than 12,500 Carnival cruise fans conducted by Carnival Brand Ambassador John Heald. Many of those passengers embrace not having Wi-Fi access on a cruise as a way to unplug while on vacation.

Shoe Carnival Inc. (NASDAQ:SCVL) saw its shares rise 3.5% on Thursday after unveiling plans for a major corporate rebrand. The footwear retailer said it intends to change its name to Shoe Station Group,

Shoe Carnival Inc. plans to rebrand as Shoe Station Group, aiming to operate over 90% of its stores under the Shoe Station banner by 2028.

Carnival Corp. closed 20.30% below its 52-week high of $32.80, which the company reached on September 11th.

To capitalize on the popularity of its Shoe Station brand, the Shoe Carnival (SCVL) board has unanimously voted to change the corporate name to Shoe Station Group. The name change won’t become official until shareholders vote on the measure at the June 2026 shareholder meeting.

A carnival performer has been taken to hospital after falling from a cart during a street parade. Police confirmed the person's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing after the incident at Somerset's Shepton Mallet Carnival at about 20:40 GMT on Wednesday.
