As announced this afternoon, the team has signed 15 players to future deals. The group consists of 12 of Carolina's practice-squad members from the 2025 campaign as well as three newcomers. Monday's signings for the Panthers are as follows:
Carolina’s top free agent heading into this offseason is running back Rico Dowdle. The 28-year-old signed a one-year deal with the Panthers this past March and went on to become the team’s leading rusher with 1,076 yards on 236 carries.
History suggests it won’t be easy. The Panthers have made the playoffs in consecutive seasons only once since joining the NFL in 1995, putting together a three-year stretch that began in 2013 and culminated in the 2015 Super Bowl season.
The Panthers announced that they’re getting their starting right guard back right just in time for their playoff game.
