At 3:23 a.m. on Monday, the National Weather Service released an updated winter storm warning in effect until 1 p.m. for Lackawanna and Luzerne counties.
A punchy nor’easter will lash the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast with heavy snow, blizzard conditions and coastal flooding on Sunday and Monday.
New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill on Sunday announced that NJ Transit will suspend all rail service by 9 p.m. as a major winter storm hits the region, bringing more than 24 inches of snow to some parts of the state. Bus service, light rail and Access Link services will be suspended starting at 6 p.m., Sherrill said.
