Noah Schnapp revealed how he reacted to the game-changing surprise in the fourth episode of Stranger Things' final season. He explained that he shouted for his assistant when he found out what happens to his character.

MATT DUFFER: Well, it wasn't actually supposed to be that big a part of the show. It's just the kids were going to be playing D&D, and then they needed reference points to talk about and understand what was going on. We'd established them playing D&D, and it just became, increasingly, a bigger part of the show.

Stranger Things season 5 Volume 1 is out this week and Netflix has released one final teaser trailer to get anticipation ratcheted up to the max.
