Catherine O’Hara, the Canadian-born comedy legend whose film and television work spanned five decades and included some of Hollywood’s most beloved characters, died Friday, Jan. 30, in Los Angeles.

Actress Catherine O’Hara, best known for her work in “Home Alone” and the TV show “Schitt’s Creek,” has died at the age of 71, according to her manager.

She received the Order of Canada in 2018 and a Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards lifetime achievement award in 2021.
