High heat, oppressive humidity and a few thunderstorms are all in the weather forecast for the Boston area through Friday evening, so the WBZ-TV Weather Team has issued a NEXT Weather Alert.

Happy Hump Day Fam! A Heat Advisory is in effect today for portions of Southeast Michigan along and south of the I 96 corridor including Metro Detroit Noon-8PM.

The main threat will again be hail, but we will also see intense downpours resulting in localized high water and gusty winds.
