Several aggressive turkeys were on Babcock Street Wednesday around 8:30 a.m., according to the Brookline Police Department. “One such report stated a turkey chased a parking enforcement officer into a building and then began pcking on the glass door! Animal Control Officer Bridges subsequently responded to assist,” the department wrote on Facebook.

The police department is warning residents to maintain their distance from wild turkeys, as it has received reports of recent aggressive actions by them. According to the department, Animal Control Officer Brian Bridges had to be called to assist when a turkey chased after a parking enforcement officer Wednesday morning.

Brookline police issued an alert on Wednesday morning after “several aggressive turkeys” were spotted along Babcock Street around 8:30 a.m., with one of the birds chasing a parking enforcement officer into a building and pecking the glass door. The town’s animal control officer, Brian Bridges, responded to assist the officer.
