The North Carolina Tar Heels stayed on task in their push to make the NCAA Tournament, running their winning streak to four in a row with a win over the Florida State Seminoles.

Florida State plays the North Carolina Tar Heels after Jamir Watkins scored 23 points in Florida State's 89-81 loss to the Louisville Cardinals.

Jamir Watkins led FSU with 26 points on 7/12 shooting, followed by Jerry Deng's 16 points on 6/8 shooting. The offense played well, shooting 54% from the floor and 10/20 from three, and only seven turnovers, yet they still lost by 11.

It was a game that had an eerily similar flow to the one on Saturday for the Florida State men’s basketball team. The Seminoles got down big, made a run, but because of defensive lapses could never get the lead below six points in the final minutes.

The FSU Seminoles lost to the North Carolina Tar Heels 96-85 Monday night at the Donald L. Tucker Center in Tallahassee, Florida. FSU is now 16-12 on the season and 7-10 in ACC play. The Seminoles trailed 49-43 at halftime and the Tar Heels added some breathing room in the second half.
