Fort Worth police and firefighters responded to a stabbing call late Thursday morning at South Hills Elementary School.

One person is dead after an apparent gambling game Wednesday in Fort Worth, according to police. Officers responded to a call about a shooting in the 3800 block of Great Basin Lane, a news release from Fort Worth police said.

Police said detectives learned that the victim and the suspect were possibly gambling outside when the suspect shot the victim.
