A windy day with gusts touching 30 mph produced difficult scoring conditions for players to contend with in the third round of the 2025 Truist Championship. With the golf course yielding an over-par scoring average, it was Sepp Straka and Shane Lowry who rose to the occasion to share the 54-hole lead in the final event before the PGA Championship.

Keith Mitchell followed a career-best round with a 3-under 67 Friday and maintained a one-shot lead after two rounds of the Truist Championship. Mitchell, who led the way with a 61 on Thursday, offset two bogeys with five birdies,
