Gov. JB Pritzker joined state officials on July 31 to sign legislation that will provide Illinois public schools with cost-free mental health screening tools for students across the state, according to a press release from Pritzker's office.

The bill, SB1560, requires all school districts to provide screening in grades 3 through 12 at least once a year.

Gov. JB Pritzker on Monday signed the two bills into law, which he said will continue Illinois’ efforts to be among the most aggressive states in combating gun violence.
