Africanized honey bees, also known as "killer bees," have been found in 13 states and are reportedly spreading toward to the north of the United States as they attack people and animals on the way.

A WOMAN HAS died in Co Mayo after she was attacked by a swarm of bees. The incident occurred at approximately 5:40pm yesterday in Ballycastle, Ballina in Co Mayo. Gardaí assisted emergency services.
