The International Space Station (ISS) is almost the size of a football field. It serves as a laboratory and living space for astronauts, including Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore, who spent 9 months aboard stranded.

NASA’s Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore have returned to Earth from a weeklong mission at the International Space Station that turned into an unexpectedly extended stay.

Two Nasa astronauts who have been left stranded in space for nine months will finally return to Earth later this week. Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams are scheduled to begin their journey home early Tuesday morning.
