By Richard Cowan WASHINGTON, Jan 27 (Reuters) - Funding for the Department of Homeland Security and several other U.S. government agencies could expire this week if Republicans and Democrats in the U.
Minn., accuses the federal government of a 'cover up,' and Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C., warns White House against attempts to "shut down an investigation."
Democrats voted to block legislation to fund the Department of Homeland Security and several other agencies Thursday, threatening a partial government shutdown as they continued to negotiate with Republicans and the White House on new restrictions for President Donald Trump's surge of immigration enforcement.
When asked about the situation in Minneapolis, and whether immigration agents had gone too far, candidates split down party lines.
According to the Pennsylvania Department of State, Lehigh and Northampton counties have 45,262 voters ages 18-24, with 28% of those voters not affiliated with either major party.
