Carlos Alcaraz withdraws from Wimbledon 2026 after French Open exit, ATP rankings set for huge hit
India, May 19 -- Carlos Alcaraz has pulled out of Wimbledon and the rest of the grass-court swing due to a wrist injury. The two-time Wimbledon winner had been dealing with the issue since his last appearance at the Barcelona Open in April and hasn't featured on court since that withdrawal.
Carlos Alcaraz is sidelined at least through Wimbledon with a right wrist injury, and that is sad news for tennis. But it does potentially provide an opening for Novak Djokovic at the next two Grand Slams.
Alcaraz injured himself during his first-round match in Barcelona last month. He played on and won, but withdrew from the tournament the following day. And the seven-time Major champion has not played since.
