The First Alert Weather Team is tracking a few scattered showers and storms potentially developing Thursday evening, with more on the way Friday.

Friday is the first of 4 FIRST ALERT 6 WEATHER DAYS due to the long lived dangerous heat and humidity. Friday will be sunny, hot, humid, and windy. Highs will reach the triple digits with heat index reaching up to 108°! Winds will come from the south gusting up to 40 mph.

Then we go into back-to-back FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAYS for dangerous heat on Saturday and Sunday. Inland high temperatures will reach the low to middle 90s. The mega-muggy air will push afternoon heat indices up to near 100 degrees. We encourage folks to stay cool and hydrated by drinking plenty of water and avoiding strenuous activities.
