Masai Russell, a 24-year-old native of Potomac, clocked the second-fastest 100-meter hurdles time in history on Friday in Florida.

Grand Slam Track, a new professional track and field league, was launched in 2024 by former American sprinter and four-time Olympic gold medalist Michael Johnson. It features four slams in 2025 in which athletes compete for points based on their performances in six race groups.
