After crews were able to contain the leak, now environmental groups are working to learn if there was any damage done.

The Pa. Department of Environmental Protection was able to contain and cleanup an oil spill from a steel mill in Lower Burrell, but one environmental group still has concerns. KDKA's Chris DeRose has the story.

Water rescue crews and first responders were on the scene Monday following an oil spill at a plant in Lower Burrell, Westmoreland County.Westmoreland County dispatch confirmed to Pittsburgh's Action News 4 that officials were on the scene at the Braeburn Alloy Steel Mill along Braeburn Road before 4 p.

A leak at a steel plant sent hydraulic fluid into the Allegheny River on Monday. The incident happened at Braeburn Alloy Stell in Lower Burrell around 3 p.m. The local fire chief says the leak extended for almost two miles before it was contained.
