Russia launched another prolonged drone attack on Ukraine, killing one person and damaging swathes of Kyiv as well as striking a maternity ward in the southern port of Odesa, regional officials said early on Tuesday.

Apart from drones, 20 missiles of various types were fired at different parts of Ukraine, according to the air force, which said the barrage targeted mainly central and western areas of Ukraine.

Russia unleashed a sweeping drone attack on the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv and the Black Sea city of Odesa that left a trail of destruction and killed at least one person, local authorities said.
