Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo and Bournemouth attacker Antoine Semenyo as their top targets this summer. Following the dismissal of Ange Postecoglou as Spurs head coach, the club turned to Thomas Frank to replace the Australian, prying him away from Brentford.

Tel was originally signed on loan in January, with a view to a permanent deal under former boss Ange Postecoglou. Frank is said to have given the deal his approval, with Spurs making the move permanent, as Postecoglou had intended. Tel made 20 appearances in all competitions for Spurs in 2024-25, scoring three goals and registering one assist.

On Thursday evening, Frank was announced as Tottenham Hotspur’s new head coach on a three-year contract. The 51-year-old is the successor to Ange Postecoglou, who became the first Spurs manager to lift a trophy since 2008 when they won the Europa League final last month.
