Clark Lea of Vanderbilt football was named the Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year, the first Commodores coach to win a national award.

There are seven undefeated teams in men's college basketball. Those teams include the Commodores as well as Michigan, Duke, Arizona, Iowa State, Nebraska and Miami (Ohio). Iowa State and Nebraska are 11-0 and Arizona is 9-0. The other four teams are 10-0.

Vanderbilt women's basketball moved up one spot to No. 13 in the AP Top 25 Poll after not playing this week.
