What is a Level 5 severe weather risk? When was the last time Alabama faced one?
According to the National Weather Service, since that day there have been three other times Alabama has been included in a high risk or Level 5. There were two in 2021: March 17 and 25. The other was April 28, 2014. The March 17-18 storms spawned 25 confirmed tornadoes, including several EF-2s. Here are the storm reports from that event:
