NASA officials from Houston, Texas, spoke about the successful splashdown of SpaceX's Crew-9. That included NASA astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore, who were aboard the International Space Station for nearly nine months longer than scheduled.

In its preparation to return from the International Space State, NASA's SpaceX Crew-9 had a successful deorbit burn to initiate its landing near Florida.

NASA removed two astronauts from its Crew-9 mission to allow for Williams and Wilmore to join the cohort, and return onboard the SpaceX Dragon − which carries four people at a time. The altered Crew-9 − only Hague and Gorbunov − launched aboard the SpaceX Dragon Freedom in late September.
