COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football coach Ryan Day wasted little time finding his next offensive coordinator. The Buckeyes are promoting receivers coach Brian Hartline to the position, according to multiple reports, replacing Chip Kelly who left for the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.

Ohio State coach Ryan Day's new contract includes an $11.5 million school buyout (per year remaining on the deal), $6 million coach buyout, max bonuses of $1.55 million and a $250,000 retention bonus in 2027, according to documents obtained by CBS Sports' Brandon Marcello.
The contract, valued at $12.5M in annual compensation, keeps Day as a Buckeye through the 2031 football season.
