Apple reported strong iPhone sales and rebound in revenue from China, giving a much-needed boost to two parts of the company’s business that had struggled over the past year.

The company’s revenue was about 10% higher than the same period a year ago, showing an unexpected ability to weather tariff blows.

During the company's fiscal third quarter, which ended on June 28, Apple posted a little less than $44.6 billion in revenue from its iPhone business, a 13% increase from the previous year. Those iPhone sales helped Apple reach total revenue of $66.6 billon, another June quarter record for the company.
