Students, teachers and staff in the Boston Public Schools community are reeling after a child was hit and killed by a school bus on Monday afternoon.

A school bus struck a pedestrian in Hyde Park Monday afternoon, according to Boston Police who reported that the victim suffered “serious life-threatening injuries.” Boston police officers responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a school bus at 107 Washington St., at around 2:44 p.m. on Monday.
