An internal memo from the deputy commandant at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point orders a dozen clubs to be disbanded — all focused on diversity at the school that trains cadets to be commissioned Army officers.

The memo dated Tuesday listed sanctioned clubs that were disbanded including the Asian-Pacific Forum Club, Latin Cultural Club and National Society of Black Engineers Cub.

The memo said all student clubs would undergo a review to ensure they comply with the Trump administration push to eliminate diversity, equity and inclusion policies.

West Point will disband all its cultural clubs, including those for women and minorities, according to a memo from the Corps of Cadets in response to presidential executive orders and Army guidance that NBC News obtained.

The U.S. Military Academy has banned organizations centered primarily on ethnic and gender affiliation as part of what it says is compliance with the effort to end diversity, equity and inclusion programs in government.
