Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz produces a stunning performance to brush aside British No.3 Cameron Norrie in style on Centre Court to move into the semi-finals at Wimbledon

CENTRE COURT — British hopes at Wimbledon were finally snuffed on Tuesday as Carlos Alcaraz beat Cam Norrie 6-2, 6-3, 6-3. Norrie fell one short of his previous best, a run to the semi-finals in 2022 where he was downed by Novak Djokovic, but once again it took a defending champion to stop him, Alcaraz having not lost here for three years.

British singles hopes at Wimbledon ended for another year with a straight-sets loss for Cameron Norrie against defending champion Carlos Alcaraz in the quarter-finals.Norrie had hoped to become just the third home player in the open era to defeat a men’s title holder in SW19 after Roger Taylor and Tim Henman but succumbed to a 6-2 6-3 6-3 defeat in just an hour and 39 minutes.
