In exchange for jailing more than 200 deportees, El Salvador’s president, Nayib Bukele, has become a favorite of the Trump administration.

The US government said Wednesday it has located a man wrongly deported to El Salvador and whose whereabouts were previously unknown, adding that he is being held in the country’s CECOT maximum-security prison.

The Trump admin has argued that the men are now outside U.S. legal jurisdiction and no longer protected by constitutional rights.
