Days after Punxsutawney Phil predicted six more weeks of winter, a nasty ice storm packing sleet, snow and freezing rain will blast the East Coast late Wednesday into Thursday morning—and two more winter storms are in the forecast for Friday and next week.

A combination of snow, sleet and freezing rain is forecast to fall overnight Wednesday, with the potential for an inch of snow accumulating in New York City and 2 inches accumulating in the surrounding suburbs, according to the National Weather Service.
