Nintendo on Friday announced that retail preorder for its Nintendo Switch 2 gaming system will begin on April 24 starting at $449.99.

After much anticipation, the Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders are finally set to go live starting midnight EST on Thursday, April 24, at select retailers. Online U.S. preorders were originally scheduled for April 9 at Best Buy,

Nintendo has announced that Switch 2 pre-orders will begin in the U.S. on April 24, 2025, and that the original price of $449.99 for the new console will remain the same. However, Switch 2 accessories will "experience price adjustments from those announced on April 2 due to changes in market conditions.
