It's weird, but Michigan State has only shot above 30% from three during one home game this year, which was the loss to Duke; an 8-for-22 day at 36.4%. For the whole season to this point, the Spartans have only made 26.4% of their tries from deep at the Breslin Center.
Michigan State outrebounded Toledo 54-24 and finished with advantages in points in the paint (40-16) and on the break (36-16).
Senior forward Jaxon Kohler led the way for MSU, finishing with 16 points and 13 rebounds. He had 14 points and 11 boards in the first half alone. Redshirt sophomore point guard Jeremy Fears Jr. also scored 15 points and dished out eight assists. Junior forward Coen Carr and sophomore guard Kur Teng had 14 points apiece.
Toledo had no answers for Jaxon Kohler as Michigan State dismantled the Rockets, including a 30-point halftime lead.

Next up is 5-5 Toledo, who is entering its only game against a high-major team this season, so this game will be of massive importance to the Rockets. MSU is a little used to being the other team's "Super Bowl," though.
A Toledo man has been arrested and charged with two counts of arson for separate fires that occurred in 2025 and 2024.
