Loon rescue White Lake Ny. Thank you Amanda and Alexa for contacting Don Andrews with the Adirondack Center for Loon conservation. Don picked me up and we went out to capture it. Loons need water to take off and feed. They can hardly walk on land. This loon was on the ice since yesterday that we know of and think it was blown in by the heavy winds and storms earlier this week. It being checked over now by the ACLC and will be released in open water pretty far away as it hard to find this year. O
