Hay Bale Planter 👨🏼‍🌾🌾 A simple hay bale can make a great low cost vegetable planter, or even a whole garden growing bed if placed side by side, and they are pretty simple to make. 😊🌱 They just need a little prep to speed up decomposition, so I start to soak them with a natural fertiliser such as seaweed or nettle at least a week prior to planting them up, which also adds extra fertility for the plants once they root into them. 🌾🍅🥒 Then, I simply make holes in the bales around three tim
