On April 18, 1995, aboard the #uss Independence CV-62, an F-14 launching with catapult assistance generated a powerful exhaust blast that struck another F-14 parked behind it on the flight deck. This destabilized the rear aircraft, forcing its crew to eject to avoid a disaster.
