Here’s how I teach vowels in preschool! I use yellow vowel cards (while consonants are white) to help them stand out. Each time we learn a new letter, we add its card to our stack. During review, we sing a special song, making sure to include both vowel sounds—the one it makes (short sound) and the one that says its name (long sound).
