Tomorrow is a very festive day in Battle! Christmas Parade at 1.45pm will travel down the high street, come & wave at Santa, Anna & Elsa. Traditional fairground rides on the green with a chance to sit in Santas sleigh! At 2.15pm Santas Grotto will open at the memorial hall. £3 per child. While you wait for the 5pm light switch on by the big man, Battle Abbey School have their Taste of Sussex Christmas Fair and St. Mary's Church Battle have Christmas stalls and their Christmas Tree Festival. 5pm

📍What a great day in Battle for the Battle of Hastings. ⚔️Yes, the Normans won. But the Saxons put up a tremendous fight and my ancestral blood is at peace. Of course, the real Battle of Hastings was on the 14 October 1066. Earlier this year, I walked at Isfield where Harold allegedly stayed on his way to Battle. 🏰William, meanwhile, hung out in Pevensey for a while after landing. The salty grasses of the Pevensey Levels had a lovely golden hue this morning. Very atmospheric. 🎪Lots going at B
